@Hrg: No, not additional lights. The building was decorated and lighted by some yellow lamps. Thanks for the visit.

Lovely night capture Soodabeh, I like the patterns in the brick work, and I love the orangy glow :) I will take a look at your link, I am intrigued to find out more :)

خدایا شهر مان را از شر مخربان میراث فرهنگی دور نگهدار. همیشه می ترسم که وقتی به بافت تاریخی می روم زخم تازه ای را ببینم می ترسم روزی فقط همین عکسها از تارخ معماری شهرم باقی بماند!!

Wow, this is a most beautifully illuminated night shot, Soodabeh. And what an amazing tower! I found your write-up and links most informative and illuminating as well. :) I must say, Persian architecture is really something special. This is a most ingenious and environmentally friendly structure. And I was so amazed to learn from your links that such structures have been in use as natural air conditioners as well, and for 500 years! WOW! Really wish other countries could learn from this. The world could be a much less polluted place. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Soodabeh!
