@Mehrzad: Dear Mehrzad, these are kind of very sour pomegranates, so juicy and covered by a very thin skin. You know people name these: Riant Pomegranates! In persian:انار خندان
They are turgid due to high amount of juice and because of the high difference between day and night temperature in Yazd they naturally break like this. So, farmers don't take them to market. They squeeze them to extract the juice manually so they bring the juice to boil to produce pomegranate sauce. You know some delicious food are cooked by this sauce: pomegranate soup and Fesenjan!
